The sixth annual Ride the Ridges offers riders four fun and challenging routes through the blufflands of Southeast Minnesota-one of the most scenic and bicycle-friendly regions in the Upper Midwest. Well-planned routes guide riders through lush valleys along meandering streams and up challenging climbs to bluff-top ridges overlooking the expansive Mississippi River valley. Choose from low-traffic, paved routes with distances of 23, 44, 67 miles or a Century. All routes are sagged and have rest stops staffed with friendly volunteers welcoming riders with refreshments, snacks, and local delicacies – ranging from donuts to lefse to beer. All riders receive a meal voucher and are invited to a post-ride party at Island City Brewing Co. Organized by the Winona Rotary Club, Ride the Ridges is sponsored by over fifty businesses, organizations, and individuals. Event proceeds support Feed My Starving Children, Kids Summer Lunch Program, and Rotary Literacy Initiatives.
Registration opens June 1.
