The 44th Annual Door County Century Ride
September 10, 2023
The 44th Annual Original Door County Century Ride will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Head over to Door County for one of the most beautiful century rides you will ever see. This ride has 4 mileage options (30, 50, 70, or 100) with a post ride catered meal including beer and Door County cherry pie! This ride is fully supported, and there are several well stocked rest stops to keep you going. Beautiful scenery, low traveled roads, gorgeous fall color, rest stops with strawberry shortcake! What’s not to like??
You must register for this ride – registration fees are currently $75 per person through May 31st! They go up to $85 per person through August 31st or until the ride fills. There is a maximum of 3000 riders for the Door County Century, and the ride sells out every year – don’t wait to register until it is too late! Riders can pre-register at https://www.doorcountycentury.com. Packet pick up is the morning of the ride or Saturday September 9th at the Door County fairgrounds during the Bike Expo. See the website for more details. The century ride starts at the Door County Fairgrounds located at: 812 North 14th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
But you wouldn’t travel all that way without getting a little extra mileage in while you’re there, that’s why we will also be hosting TCBC rides on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, Sept 8th and 9th in the Sturgeon Bay area. The TCBC calendar will be updated soon for for these rides. Generally we will ride a little under 40 miles Friday afternoon to stretch out your legs from driving and between 30-55 miles on Saturday.
Sign up sheets for the Century Ride will be available at the TCBC rides on Friday and Saturday. If you canʼt make it to either of those rides, email your name, member number and distance ridden to Bob Fix – bobfix@gmail.com by Monday evening.
You are responsible for your own accommodations. A number of TCBC members have stayed in Fish Creek in the past and are again this year; however, there are no shortage of places to stay, eat, or fun things to do in Door County!
Any questions please contact me! Hope to see you there!!
