Volunteer Opportunity!
We are looking for one or more volunteers to partner by coordinating and leading the annual TCBC Halloween Ride/Party this year. This is a fun event and duties include:
Choosing a date (Sat., Oct. 30 or Sun., Oct 31)
Opt to come up with a new ride location and routes or start at the previous location (Cozy’s Pub at Como Park Golf Course) and simply use the already established routes/maps.
Coordinate with a sponsor for a rest stop and possible costume judging and treats. (Erik’s Bike Shop in Highland Park has always been very accommodating).
Possibly organize a luncheon for after the ride, free to TCBC members who ride. We have used Cozy’s Pub for the last few years.
If electing to develop new routes, the leader needs to be mindful of having a short and longer route to allow slower and faster riders to get to rest stop and end point close to the same times.
