Seeking Volunteers to help put on a Bike Rodeo for kids:
On Saturday, June 18th, TCBC will help with a bike rodeo being hosted by the SE Como Energy Fair from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Van Cleve Park in Minneapolis. A team of TCBCers received training on setting up a bike rodeo last year from BikeMN and would be happy to pass on their knowledge to any willing and enthusiastic volunteers. The team will do helmet checks, check over bikes and set up several stations for riders to practice getting going, braking, signaling and turning, and avoiding other riders. It's very fun to see the riders practice the skills and see how they improve and the pride it builds in them! Please consider joining our team for the afternoon! We are in need of a few more volunteers for next Saturday afternoon's bike rodeo. It's great to see the kids gain confidence as they practice the skills we set up at the various stations.
