Como Park to Minnesota Valley Solo Ride

I rode this route yesterday and discovered that the Minnesota River level is almost up to the trail along Black Dog Road. Last year the flooding river tried to reclaim the trail by burying it under several feet of sand. The trail was closed for most of the Summer and Fall. If you want to ride this route, I would do it soon! Here is my Ride with GPS route link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32226166

The full route from Como Park is 45 miles. Or if you want to start from Minnehaha Park it is 29 miles.

The photo above shows the sand deposited by last years flood.

Just tried to ride it at 4:00 pm today.  Trail is flooded and closed. 🙁

The Minnesota River is again flooding making the river crossing at Cedar Avenue impossible. I have rerouted to cross the river on the I494 bridge then doing an out and back on Old Cedar Avenue to access the Minnesota Valley. The red truck made it through but the black one stalled out on the other side!

The Minnesota River is now back down below flood stage and the Minnesota River Greenway Trail has reopened. I updated the RWGPS map to the pre-flood 45 route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32226166

I also created a 29-mile route that starts near Minnehaha Falls. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32407333

Thank you Johnny. I really appreciate you doing this. I've been 'collecting' the routes you've posted, making minor modifications to better suite a starting point 'for me'.
