On the east bank of the Mississippi between the Coon Rapids Dam and Hwy 610 (about a quarter mile north of the Hwy 610 bridge) the bike/ped bridge over Coon Creek is closed. We discovered the closure on last week’s PARK TO PARK and backtracked to the Coon Rapids Dam. There is, however, another bike/ped bridge over Coon Creek a short distance to the north. Thanks to Deborah Schreiber of Anoka County Parks who kindly provided this MAP.
I cannot find any information when the closed bridge will reopen.

We encountered that on my Ride from North Hennepin a couple of weeks ago, coming up from the south. There's a simple detour/alternate route around it that connects up to the park road on the east side of the dam. I can show you that on a Park to Park ride some time.
