Bryant Avenue Reconstruction (Lake to 50th)
Bryant Avenue S (Lake to 50th) in Minneapolis will undergo a two year, total street reconstruction in 2022-23. This is a big deal. Many of you know Bryant as part of the starting and returning route for TCBC’s popular Sonny’s ride. It is also one of the first bike boulevards in Minneapolis.
The project is in it’s conceptual design stage and I encourage you to take its online survey and comment on is feedback map which both close on June 1. You can find these and review the other materials on its project page, http://www.minneapolismn.gov/cip/futureprojects/bryant-ave-s-reconstruction .
To get introduced to the project and its current status, I would recommend looking at the “Video Presentation.” link. It will provide a verbal introduction of other linked documents. There is also a link to a virtual open house tomorrow night, Tuesday May 12, 7 to 8 pm. should you be interested.
This is an opportunity to see one of the larger south Minneapolis projects in recent history get rolled out that will follow guidance of Minneapolis’s new draft Transportation Action Plan which prioritizes walkers, rollers and transit. The city planners are looking for feedback and many of you have traveled on Bryant Avenue. Should you be interested in keeping up on the project, there is an Email Updates signup which you can complete for future notices.
