It's officially Autumn, and some of us are already starting to think about other ways of getting exercise and keeping in touch with our TCBC friends. As we did last winter, we will be using the Alternative Activities and Unofficial Rides Forum to announce our plans. Any TCBC member can post activities on the Forum -- it isn't necessary to be a ride leader. However, you need to be logged into the Forum using your TCBC username and password in order to post a new Topic or to reply to an existing one. If you have a fun activity you'd like to share, go ahead and post it. Maybe people will show up, maybe not.
When you are logged in, you can click on the Subscribe button, and then you will receive an email whenever someone posts a new topic. There's no deadline for submitting activities and sometimes they are posted on very short notice to take advantage of a break in the weather. If you don't want to miss out, you'll either need to subscribe or to check the Forum very frequently. You will not get an email when there are subsequent posts to the same topic, so you should always check the Forum for delays or cancellations before leaving home, just as with the ride calendar.
Alternative Activities and Unofficial Rides are not covered by TCBC insurance and there is no mileage or participation credit. It's just for fun.
