We can't pass up a Free First Tuesday at Washington County Parks! The plan is to hike the packed multi-use trails in the western part of Lake Elmo Park Reserve for a distance of about 5 miles: Planned Hiking Route
As of noon Monday the trails have not been groomed but we'll hope that happens before we start the hike. There are several options to shorten the hike if the going is tough, and if it's really bad we can use the paved trails in the park. Leashed dogs are welcome. If you'd rather ski, snowshoe or ride a fat bike, stop by the parking lot just before 1:00 and say Hi!
The address for Lake Elmo Park Reserve is 1515 Keats Avenue No., Lake Elmo 55042. No parking pass is required to use the park facilities on Free Tuesday. Meet at the Nordic Center parking lot where indoor bathrooms, water and portable toilets are available.
