Depart from Langford Park which is southwest of the intersection of Como and Raymond Aves, St Anthony Park (a village) west of the fairgrounds in St Paul. Turn Southwest on Knapp St off Como Ave and that will take you down the hill to the street, Langford Park which runs around the park. 2 SAT 8:00 AM C 21/31 mi. BIKE TO BREAKFAST: ARSENAL ROUNDS. Depart from Centennial Church, 1524 West County Road C2, Roseville, corner of C2 and Snelling. We will ride north on Lexington to Rice Creek Regional Trail Park in Shoreview. After passing through the park we will follow the new trail through the old Army Ammunition Plant. We will enjoy breakfast at R. J. Riches just off the end of the trail in Mounds View, and make our way back past Long Lake, Valentine Lake and Lake Johanna. 2 SAT 9:00 AM C 25 mi. Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Depart from Lake Nokomis Community Center "Overflow" parking lot - 2401 East Minnehaha Parkway, Mpls. We will be riding streets and trails to the St. Paul Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Rest/lunch stop will be the Taco House on Chavez Street. 2 SAT 9:30 AM A/B 70-80 mi. Shorter option available. WI HILLS MAIDEN ROCK. Depart from the park on the river in Maiden Rock, WI. Cross into Wisconsin at Prescott or Red Wing and take WI 35 south to the town of Maiden Rock on Lake Pepin, then turn towards the river on Chestnut St. Challenging hills and little-traveled rural roads. Watch for details on TCBC "Rides and Trips" message board during the week before ride. If weather threatens, check "Ride Cancel Delay" message board at 7:00 AM or contact ride leader before 7:45 AM on morning of ride. We'll ride to Chaska via a paved trail, then around Chaska on the dikes & trails then back. Mostly flat terrain. If the river trail is flooded we'll ride a loop around the perimeter of Shakopee. 2 SAT 1:00 PM B 42 mi. Riding the Warmth of the Day. Depart from NE corner of Cub Foods lot, Silver Lake Village Center, on Silver Lake Rd just north of Cty Rd D, St Anthony Village. Ride will be a scenic route with good roads and will be 42 miles long so given the earlier start at 1:00 we will be done by 4:30. 3 SUN 6:00 AM A 151 mi. Sunday Sunrise Solitude. Depart from Perkins Restaurant, New Brighton [zipcode 55112], 2 blks west of I-35W on Cty Rd D. Park at far end of lot. This early-bird 151 mile route is the only one rated at an A ride level of the four routes offered through Sunday Sunrise Solitude (the other three routes are shorter and are rated at an A/B ride level). 3 SUN 9:00 AM B 28 mi. 4 TOWERS. Depart from Charles M. Schulz - Highland Arena lot at Snelling Ave. and Ford Parkway in St. Paul. Park in the NW corner. This ride will take us to 4 historic water towers in Minneapolis and St. Paul via streets, trails and bike lanes. 3 SUN 9:30 AM C 20-30 mi. Hopkins in May. Depart from Painters Community Park, 34th and Lyndale South, Minneapolis (across from Sonny's Ice Cream). Join us as we meander from Painters Community Park during the merry month of May and make our way to the Mid-town Greenway where we will traverse to Hopkins for a refreshment stop before making our way back to the hustle and bustle of the city. 3 SUN 10:30 AM A/B approx 45-68 mi. Taylor Made - for Custom FIT. Depart from Northland Mall on west side of Hwy. 61 in Forest Lake. Take in the (hopefully!) beautiful "Springing of the Green" on this mostly rural ride around Forest Lake, through the Chisago Chain of Lakes and on to Taylors Falls for a leisurely lunch (long route). After crossing the river into St. Croix Falls, the route includes an optional 5-mile loop through Interstate State Park in Wisconsin. Scenic back roads bring us back through Osceola and Scandia. 5 TUE 10:00 AM B 26-69 mi. Gateway Express. Depart from Maplewood Community Center, 2100 White Bear Ave, Maplewood, MN 55109. Please park at the south end of the parking lot. Water and bathrooms available at community center. This ride features the Gateway Trail, a scenic, shaded, and little wind trail. The ride has extensions into scenic Washington County. The easiest ride is doing the Gateway Trail out to Pine Point and back - 26 mi. Ride leader chooses which extensions to ride. Good maps and cue sheets of extensions provided. A variety of routes will include the highs and lows of St. Paul and Minneapolis with dramatic views of both downtown skylines. 5 TUE 6:15 PM A/B 36/29/24 mi. THE ACAPULCO RIDE. Depart from Valley Ridge Mall, Stillwater. From I-694, take Hwy 36 east for 6.5 miles. Turn left on Washington Ave (first stoplight past the Hwy 5 overpass) Take an immediate right on the frontage road for 1/4 mile to the Acapulco Restaurant on the left. Enjoy the best cycling roads this side of Wisconsin! This old classic offers a flat start and finish with lovely hills in between. As usual, leader will pace the first three miles to ensure a proper warm-up. We always have mucho fun dining on the patio after. Four great routes to include towns like Jordan, Waconia, Watertown, Chaska and the Lake Minnetonka area. All have a great Rest Stop planned into route. Depart from OVERFLOW Parking lot (NOTE - NOW USING THE "SUMMER" PARKING LOT LOCATION!) for Erik's Bike Shop, across Texas Ave from the bike shop located at Minnetonka Blvd and Texas Ave (between 100 & 169) in St Louis Park. A few extra miles all on bike trails to stretch the legs then finish just in time to do the 6:00 PM "SLP'ING Out" ride if you so choose (no rest stop on this actual ride - we will rest in between rides at Erik's). 6 WED 6:00 PM B/C 15-30 mi. Maple(ss) Grove. Depart from Maple Grove Cycling & Fitness, 8121 Wedgewood Lane (corner of Grove Dr. and Wedgewood Ln, near Cub Foods). Take I-94 west to Weaver Lake Rd exit, head east to intersection with Elm Creek Blvd., turn right (south) to Grove Dr. (first left). This will be a mapless ride, following the roads and trails of Maple Grove. Possible destinations include the Elm Creek Park Preserve, Fish Lake Park, and the Coon Rapids Dam. We will be departing from the parking lot in front of Maple Grove Cycling & Fitness at the same time as a much faster group of riders, so make sure you're with the right bunch! Minimal traffic, good roads, great training. The longer route has 6,400 feet of climbing. The shorter option is flatter. Prescott is on the other side of Cottage Grove, an easy drive from the cities. It’s about 3 blocks south of Hwy 36 und about 1 block north of the Gateway trail. You can park in the middle of the parking lot. All riders are welcome for this fun ride from Maplewood to Pine Point Park where we will enjoy a rest stop before heading back to the community center via the beautiful Gateway Trail. 31 SUN 9:30 AM B 33-38 mi. Afton to Elmo. Depart from Ojibway Park in Woodbury. Exit 494 at Lake Road interchange. Go southeast on Lake Road, turn east (left) on Courtley Road, and south (right) on Ojibway Drive. Scenic with some big hills. See page 68 of bike atlas. Tom Melcher, 651-353-3372.

31 SUN 10:00 AM A/B 52 or 76 mi. Hills Out of Prescott. Depart from Freedom Park in Prescott, WI. South on WI 35 from the bridge into WI, then right on Monroe in a mile or so. No restrooms at the ride start although they are open after the ride (until 5pm). View route on p.132 of the Bike Atlas. Minimal traffic, good smooth roads, great training. The longer route has 5,400 feet of climbing with some steep ones. The shorter option is flatter but still has hills. Prescott is on the other side of Cottage Grove, an easy drive from the cities. 31 SUN 12:30 PM C 18.3 mi. MGC Meander. Depart from Maple Grove Cycling 8121 Wedgewood Lane Maple Grove MN 55369. We will ride the beautiful trails around Rice Lake and through the lowerloop of Elm Creek Park Reserve. This is a pleasant trail ride with a few rest stop opportunities in the park.
